Because of the school design, the staff at Larkspur is able to offer the students a unique environment. Once students arrive at the school, they go directly to the hallway designated for their grade. Each grade level is self-contained, with its own guidance counselors and assistant principal. The school staff works hard to bring out the smallness in a school of 1,600 students. A separate group of exploratory and physical education teachers in other wings of the building complement the core program at Larkspur.

Larkspur teachers provide an environment that is warm, caring, nurturing, and gives the students a sense of safety and security. Larkspur Middle is truly "Something to ROAR about."
