Keyboard
Keyboard designed by Carolyn Harrison

Keyboarding is a one-semester (18 week) class. The course is open to eighth grade students and is worth one-half credit toward high school graduation. The course is a prerequisite for KEYBOARDING APPLICATIONS, COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS, and DESKTOP PUBLISHING. Emphasis is placed on the development of touch keyboarding skills, entering alphabetic, numeric, and symbolic information on the keyboard. Students will also compose and produce personal, educational, and professional documents. This is a foundation course for all advanced business courses and should be elected by all students who plan to become proficient in the use of computers.
