Gifted Referrals for Testing

Gifted testing will take place here at Larkspur Middle School on November 10, 2014. A teacher, a parent/guardian, a peer, the student support team, the student, or any person who has knowledge of the student’s abilities may initiate a referral for gifted services. Parent Information Referral Forms are available in all schools from the gifted resource teacher and the guidance department.   Parents that would like their child to be considered for gifted testing on November 10, 2014, must complete a parent referral form and return it to the gifted resource teacher, Mrs. Tracy Patterson, or the guidance department by Friday, October 31, 2014. Mrs. Patterson can be contacted by email at [email protected].

Yearbooks Go On Sale!

The Larkspur Middle School 2014 - 2015 Yearbook is now on sale.  Flyers went home with students on October 17 with the Early Bird price of $35.00! Halloween Costumes

Neither costumes/masks nor Halloween make up should be worn to school on Friday, October 31. Thank you for ensuring your child is dressed appropriately for this school day.

College Night

College Night will be conducted at The Virginia Beach Convention Center on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 5:30-8:00PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and speak with nearly 170 college/university representatives as well as representatives from proprietary schools and the armed forces. In addition, two financial aid seminars are scheduled for 6:00 and 7:00 PM. There is no admission charge for this event. Although the event is primarily for high school students, this is an opportunity for you to consider introducing your child to the college-bound culture.
