Discover the Den

Larkspur Middle School will host all rising 6th grade students wishing to participate in our Discover the Den transition program on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 9 am to 1:30 pm. Any student currently attending a feeder elementary school or who is enrolled to attend Larkspur in the 2015 - 2016 school year must complete a registration form to attend. Students will have the opportunity to meet LKSM teachers, tour the building, ask questions, and open a locker before their arrival on the first day of middle school. They will also have the opportunity to meet some of their classmates in the upcoming 6th grade class of Larkspur through various team building activities.

Summer Reading Bingo

As we prepare for the long-awaited and much deserved summer break, we would like to leave you with a few final thoughts. This year our students have made some excellent progress in reading, you should be very proud! However, studies have shown that there will be a decline, know as the "summer slide", if students do not do any reading over the summer. If they would like a challenge, take a look at our Larkspur Summer Bingo. As you read, you can record your books online at or keep track of them on this downloadable sheet. Here is a brief promotional video telling you more about the program.

End of Year Library Procedures

Book checkout to students will end on Friday, June 5th. We still have overdue books from the start of the school year. Please assist your student in finding these and returning them as soon as possible. All books will need to be returned to the library before the last day of school. Books that are not returned will be assessed as lost.

Purchase Lasting Memories for your Student

Give the gift of lasting memories. Buy your student a 2015 Larkspur yearbook! The yearbook is a great way for your student to remember this year’s events at Larkspur Middle School. As a parent, you know the importance of remembering your teen years and all of the people and events that made that time special. The current price of the yearbook is $40.00

Order forms are available in room D-16.
