Curtis Day, an eighth grade student at Larkspur received the "Students Taking Action Award" from NewsChannel 3!

"Curtis is such an outstanding young man. In addition to being a student athlete at Larkspur Middle School, he goes out of his way to volunteer three mornings a week to help with art projects here at Kempsville Meadows Elementary School"

Congratulations to Mr. Hugh Koontz who has been selected as the Larkspur Middle School 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year. Mr. Koontz is a seventh grade science teacher who truely loves working with his students and helping his fellow teachers.

Autism Speaks Light It Up Blue Day

Larkspur Middle School will be participating again in the Autism Speaks' Annual Light It Up Blue Day on Thursday, April 2nd. Students are asked to wear a blue shirt to show their support.

April as the Month of the Military Child

VBCPS joins the Department of Defense, the DoDEA, Operation Military Kids, and the military community in celebrating April as the Month of the Military Child. This year, we are inviting everyone to "Purple Up" by dressing in purple as a visible way to show support and thank military children on Wednesday, April 15th. We would like to thank all of our current military personnel and veterans for your valuable service to our great country.

ATC Summer Camp 2015 for Rising Ninth Grade Students

The Advanced Technology Center (ATC) is excited to sponsor its Annual Summer Camp for Rising 9th Grade Students August 10th through 14th. The cost of the camp is $125 and it will be open for 60 campers on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you have any questions please contact the ATC at 648-5800 extension 0.

The Larkspur PTA invites you to become involved with your child's school PTA! Complete the attached intent to serve form if you are interested in becoming a member of the Larkspur Middle School PTA Executive Committee. Please return the completed form to the LKMS main office.
